Lake District Travel
Keswick
on Derwentwater is situated in the English Lake District in Cumbria.
The Lakeland town is conveniently located and is easily accessed
by car, train or bus. Keswick is only 15 miles from the nearest
Motorway and train station at Penrith and is within only 2 hours
drive of three of Britains main airports
- Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester.
Travel to the Lake District with Virgin trains
who run the main railway line from London to Glasgow. These frequently
stop at Penrith, Oxenholme or Carlisle and there are buses which
then travel to Keswick town centre. We have listed some of the
more frequent train times, please click

Another way of travelling to the Lake District is via coach.
These run from the majority of cities through Cumbria with most
bus routes heading through the Central Lakes and Keswick.
When visiting the Lake District please check out the local bus
