Castlerigg Stone Circle
One of the most beautiful stone circles in Britain (a photographers
dream). Views of Skiddaw, Blencathra, St.Johns in the Vale and Keswick. Parking
50 yards away
Whinlatter Forest Parks
Forest trails and paths. Also an information centre, shop and tearooms (and the
new Osprey viewing area)
Threlkeld Quarry
and Mining Museum
The fascinating story of Cumbrian mining from
the 12th Century to modern day. There is also a shop.
Town Parks
Two beautiful parks with gardens located near the town centre -
Fitz Park offers tennis, bowls and putting, Hope Park offers minature golf (9
hole), Obstacle golf and Putting
Keswick Market
A Saturday market situated in the town square near the Moot Hall.
