The recently converted self catering acommodation at Kiln Hill Barn is ideally situated in it's own grounds enjoying spectacular views across Bassenthwaite Lake and the fells around Skiddaw. In a rural setting, yet only minutes from Keswick and Cockermouth, it is an ideal base for signtseeing or activity based holidays.
We have three self catering apartments, two in the converted barn and another in a seperate cottage adjoining the cobbled yard. Every facility and comfort is provided to ensure that your stay with us will be a pleasure no matter what the season. There are walks and cycle routes directly from the property and two golf courses within a short drive. There is sailing and windsurfing on nearby Bassenthwaite Lake (1 mile), the only 'true' lake in the Lake District.
Kiln Hill Barn is situated on a working farm owned by the Armstrong family for over 16 years. There are Lakeland sheep in adjoining fields while free range poultry wander the yard. The Armstrongs provide a welcoming and personal service counting many customers, new and old, amongst their friends.
The property is situated on the A591 just past Bassenthwaite village (approx. 7 miles).
