Dalegarth House has ten comfortable ensuite bedrooms and, due to the commanding position of the hotel, many have tremendous views of the surrounding Lakeland countryside.
Dalegarth has an excellent reputation not only for its rooms and views but also for the food and quality of service. The restaurant serves locally sourced foods and Cumbrian ingredients and the chef (and owner) Bruce Jackson puts care an attention into each meal whether it be a Cumbrian Breakfast to set you up for the day or an enjoyable evening meal.
Bruce and Pauline welcome couples, families and single visitors and Dalegarth House has rooms to suit most customers - singles, twins, doubles and ground floor annex (with steps).
Portiscale is a very pretty village one mile from Keswick. There is a shop, cafe and local inn. You can take a gentle flat stroll to Keswick town centre without approaching the road or take a drive to Newlands Valley, round Derwentwater or to Whinlatter.
