Description: The Methodist Youth Centre is situated in the heart of Braithwaite village (2.5 miles to Keswick), on the edge of the Newlands valley at the foot of Whinlatter forest. The centre has self catering accommodation for a maximum of 26 people with comfortable dorms of 2, 7, 8 and 9 beds and bathrooms with electric showers.
The fully equipped kitchen is equipped with 2 electric cookers, fridges and freezer and utensils for every occupant. There is also a dining area. There is a tumble dryer (coin operated) and drying cupboards and telephone for use by the occupants.
Braithwaite is within 3 miles of Keswick. The centre is ideal for walkers being the starting point of Grisedale Pike (2593 feet) and the Coledale Horseshoe. Head towards nearby Newlands valley for some of the most stunning views in the Lake District and some more superb Lakeland walks.
